English Summer Course
Introduction
In line with the Malaysian Government's efforts to promote education and tourism in Malaysia, the English Summer Course is designed for international students who wish to spend from 1 to 2 months in Malaysia to improve their proficiency of the English language and at the same time, immerse themselves in the culture, language and scenic surrounding of Malaysia. This unique course integrates learner-centered classroom instructions, student mentoring and intercultural activities. Students are given enriching learning opportunities for inquiry, exploration, investigation and communication. The program includes many direct, participatory experiences, outdoor activities, field trips, and daily interaction with students from Malaysia and 59 countries in HELP University College's community.

Students who are interested to visit, discover and experience Malaysia's diverse heritage and culture and learn English language at the same time
Students who wish to experience studies in a tertiary institution in Malaysia
Program Structure
The English Summer Course consists of 4 - 8 weeks of studies. The duration of each level of intensive English is 1 month, comprising 25 hours of classroom teaching per week (100 hours per level). On top of that, students are required to perform 5-6 hours of unsupervised learning per week which include listening practice, chat room and field trips conducted by student tutors. Students have the flexibility to extend the duration of this program if they desire
Outdoor Activities
Focused on the uniqueness of the Malaysian culture and beautiful surroundings, the program incorporates stimulating and exciting blend of outdoor activities, for example:
Trips to the popular and famous spots in Malaysia ie Petronas Twin Towers, Genting Highlands, Penang Island, Historical City of Malacca, and others
Cultural shows, food festivals, carnivals and museum visits
Sports: hiking, basketball, volleyball, street soccer, table tennis and others
Placement Test
All students coming into the English Summer Course are required to sit for a Placement Test prior to starting the program to ensure placement in a course suitable for their level of proficiency in the language. This test assesses students' English proficiency in terms of their reading and comprehension, grammar and vocabulary, and writing skills.
Certificates
Certificate of Completion will be awarded for students who have satisfactorily fulfilled the assessment and attendance requirements.
